Ferric Alum is most commonly utilized in production of dyestuffs, wastewater treatment, and tanning. It also finds application in biochemical analysis & synthesis of organic compounds. Also known as ferric ammonium sulfate, it has chemical formula FeNH4(SO4)2 with molar mass of g/mol. This alum can be produced by crystallization of ferric & ammonium sulfates solution. Ferric Alum is a weak oxidizing agent which possesses paramagnetic property with weak ammonia-like odor.
